Integration Projects for JobTime5 Level-1 thru Level-4, imports are normally limited to the ERP's current work-orders and operations.  At Level-5 JobTime5 clients also require at least daily a refresh of Inventory including both finished-goods and raw material items.

Some clients may also require import of one or more of the following: Purchasing, BOM, Forecasting, MRP allocations.

Most clients prefer to maintain their routings in their ERP and not import their routings into JobTime. If your ERP does not include operation status information (qty complete, hrs spent or %-complete), we can import this information from a secondary Shop-Floor Control System.

Once their most dynamic data is loaded, most clients prefer to manage integration costs by manually updating slower-changing data such as shop-calendars, work centers and resources.  The most dynamic data is considered to be work orders and secondarily routings.

If your scheduling application uses extensive individual labor calendars, you may need integration with an HR module to update shop-workers' planned holidays. Your integration project can include automatic import of these elements, plus routings if desired.

Integration Projects

The time required to interface JobTime to a host ERP system is measured in days, not months.  We work with clients to define a clear mapping of data fields between your ERP and JobTime's SQL database.   For ERP's based on relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle, Informix, DB2, MySQL, or even Access or FoxPro, creation of Initial Data flow into JobTime's database from the client's ERP's is accomplished in a few hours to a few days.  To take full advantage of our scheduling features, your ERP might not contain corresponding fields, or might not have populated relevant data fields (e.g. labor, tooling, etc.)  Our Custom Import Service will define a written specification of all data needs your scheduling application will require, and define how each data element is to be imported, looked up, or calculated.  The Custom Import also  performs all the adjustments, filtering, transformations and conversions that we jointly define in a Client Custom Import Statement of Requirements. You are always aware and confident of the actions we take to build your unique Custom Import Interface Application. As a safeguard, we have a standard set of input validation checks to be absolutely certain that your converted data will meet JobTime's standards for consistency and completeness.  Any data elements which do not meet the standard are quarantined and can be viewed in reports.  The data quarantine report will guide you in fixing data in your host system, or to refining your requirements to correctly move your data successfully into JobTime® 5 in a stable manner over the months and years of your future use of JobTime® 5.  With JobTime® 5 , you can typically expect full implementation within 90 days or less, assuming active and steady participation by your in-house staff.
